Hello friends!
Who is our rich man of the day? His name is Musa I of Mali and he lived in the 14th century. He was a great king of the Empire of Mali, which was a wealthiest state of its time in Africa. Mali had many gold mines and therefore it was an incredibly rich state - so rich that when Musa went on a Haj to Mecca and took some gold with him, the price of gold went down - it became so available - the rules of supply and demand!
You can read more about Musa here. He was definitely a remarkable ruler and some even claim that he was the richest man of all time. Unfortunately there is no proof for that in terms of exact numbers, so for the purpose of our ranking Musa I of Mali is one of those rich men, who go at the end of the rankings and without a value.
