Imagine that what people did, even when directed towards you, weren't personal. Imagine that when someone looked at you with an unpleasant face, the reason wasn't you but rather that person. Imagine that most people don't really care about your existence that much that they would do something just to upset you.
Wouldn't it be best if one accepted the actions and reactions of others for what they are - namely things out of our control? Don't take it personally. This is what I keep telling myself on a daily basis. It is that simple. When I succeed in following this advice, I feel good. When I don't, more often than not I feel bad.
What if we were all connected and were the same thing? What if personality and individuality were simply illusions and pretenses we used to hide our fear of expressing who we really are? Keep asking yourself these questions like me and you might be able to free yourself of the limitations of the I.
