Dear friends, hello!
How are you doing at the start of the new week? By the way, it is the start of a new month as well! Even more reason to wake up and start living. And do that with the right attitude, too!
I said attitude. Well, attitude is the word. It is most important. Therefore from today we start a series of attitude related quotes. The first one comes from the great psychologist and therapist Dr. Viktor E. Frankl. He was a Holocaust survivor and here is what he had to say about attitude:
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me is more important than facts.... We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes.
Now let's look at that again. 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. This is both liberating and obliging. It liberates you to go ahead and live life on your terms. But it also obliges you to take responsibility. It is somehow convenient to use circumstances and what happens as excuses. However, if you accept that life is more than what happens to you, and that how you react to it is most important, then you can really start living the life you want.
So have a great day and remember to keep a good attitude. Will remind you about this again tomorrow!
