Today we are making a slight correction into the list of the wealthiest people of all time. My initial source had Marcus Crassus right after Henry Ford and at No8, but today I found out in another source that there was another man, who took over Crassus. His name is Alain Le Roux and he had accumulated $178.7 billion when adjusted for inflation. He used to live in the 11th century and was an English prince. He died quite young - at the age of 49. Well, there is not much we could learn about him from Wikipedia, but here is a little. Also, we can't really hear his wisdom, but again, he was not a moneymaker and an entrepreneur, but he was royalty and probably his money came as an inheritance. Still, it is worth to note his fortune.
