Hello friends!
Here we go this morning, Christmas morning, with another one of our billionaires. As you can tell by his name, his son was already our guest here and that was with the money his father left him. But before we look into this great entrepreneur, let me wish you everything best for the holidays and please, by all means, check out my Christmas blog for some good old holiday mood!
And now, on to our billionaire. He made his money through the railroads - unscrupulously and in a determined fashion. Thus he accumulated $167.4 billion. More details you can find here.
And now, let's look at a quote regarding education by the Commodore:
"If I had learned education, I would not have had time to learn anything else."
If you read his biography above, you would know that he dropped out of school at age 12. And he still made it into the Top 10 of all time! That is not, of course, to say that you should withdraw your children out of school. Not all people who don't complete their education become rich. However, education is also not everything there is to learn. Often what is learned at school has little to do with success in life. What is important is that we can discern between useful and useless knowledge. Useful knowledge could always be obtained. Useless knowledge should be evaded at all costs.
So have great Christmas and may your whole family and surroundings be merry!
