Hello friends!
It's a snowy December day, and we are here to stay!
Today we continue the discussion of the Wealthiest People of All Time with Andrew Carnegie. Yes, you remember correctly, it was just last month that we celebrated his birthday. Well, he is our guest again. So let's take this opportunity to study his life and how exactly he became rich - which qualities he possessed were most influential in his accumulation of riches?
But before we take a look at his philosophy, let's look at the numbers surrounding him - he passed away at the age of 81 and had $319 billion at his time of highest earning - that is adjusted to modern monetary value. You can read more about Andrew Carnegie here, and I also suggest that you check out one of the biographical books written about him as well - check out the thumbnail link at the bottom of this post.
Now, I suggest we take the time to look into the eternal wisdom of Andrew Carnegie, who as you know was a great thinker, besides being a great businessman and industrialist:
As I grow older, I pay less attention to what men say. I just watch what they do.
Now, how priceless is that? It is really best not to take what people say at face value. That is not to say that we should distrust people by default. Rather, we should focus on observing people's actions more than their words. And this is the lesson of the second-wealthiest man of all time! Let's take it to heart in our daily lives.
Have a great day and by all means check out a biography of Andrew Carnegie below!
