...the first circumnavigation of the world was completed by the ship Victoria. The ship sailed away from Spain in 1519 and completed its round trip on this date in 1522. The initial crew of the ship was 265 men, but only 18 survived. Can you imagine the determination and will to live of those 18! That is really remarkable!
