Hello friends! OK, I have been away for a while and I apologize for that. But I am back today to share with you a lesson I learned from the Powertalk series, I have been listening to every day these days. Today's Powertalk interview was with Dr. Robert Cialdini, a great American psychologist. Dr. Cialdini had numerous lessons to share on the science of influence, whose proponent he is. The most important lesson perhaps are the six weapons of influence. Here they are: * Reciprocity - People tend to return a favor, thus the pervasiveness of free samples in marketing. * Commitment and Consistency - If people commit, orally or in writing, to an idea or goal, they are more likely to honor that commitment. * Social Proof - People will do things that they see other people are doing. * Authority - People will tend to obey authority figures, even if they are asked to perform objectionable acts. * Liking - People are easily persuaded by other people that they like. * Scarcity - Perceived scarcity will generate demand. Also, here is a video of Dr. Cialdini explaining these six principles:
So have a great day, and see you again in the next Powertalk post!
Until then, of course, live with passion!
