Hello friends!
I am writing to you from snowy Bulgaria, where I got snowed in and couldn't make it to work today, but I move on with my life and write here, so everything is great!
So let's go straight to our lesson of the day, which comes from the great American president Harry S. Truman. This is what Mr. President had to tell us:
"In reading the lives of great men, I found that
the first victory they won was over themselves...
self-discipline with all of them came first."
Interesting, right? Well, today's quotation is particularly interesting! I presume that all of us want to be great. Well, at least we want to be pretty good. So how do we become great? That's easy! We have to win life's battles every day. But before we can proceed to win any of life's battles, we have to first win the battle with ourselves. It is true that we ourselves are our own worst enemies at times. We sabotage ourselves through lack of self-discipline, motivation and determination. We lack the right state of mind. We are not determined to succeed. But this can be changed, if we decide to change it. We can discipline ourselves! And we had better start doing it today.
Have a great day and don't let the snow affect your mood negatively!
