Hello friends!
How is your Sunday going? Everything is fine for me here in cold and white Bulgaria. Did I say Bulgaria. Yep, this is the Bulgarian Mastermind. As you might know, I have a blog in Bulgarian as well, to which I translate the posts from here with motivational quotes by world authors. Today I decided to try the opposite - to translate a posting with a quote from a Bulgarian author to this blog. So here we go:
"Strong is not the person, who could climb higher, but the one, who could keep the position he has already attained."
The author is the old lady you could see on the photo. Her name is Blaga Dimitrova and she was a famous Bulgarian author before she passed away 7 years ago. But now, let's go to her quotation. At first sight, this is a rather conservative statement. It might look like saying: don't aim for something better, but instead try to keep what you already have. As you might know me from this blog, I am a person who would always go for something newer and better, so I might disagree with this quote. However, looking at this statement closer, one could realize its wisdom. It is not so difficult to achieve short-lived success. You can jump high, but then you go down. What is more difficult and thus worthy, however, is to achieve long-lived success - to reach a certain position and then to fortify that position. The very fact that you could keep that position means that you planned things well and thus deserve that position. And after you feel comfortable there, you could always go for a higher position, right?
Have a great Sunday!
