Hello friends!
Today is a good day for my country. Well, to be honest, it was yesterday, August 9, but we will celebrate it today as the first day after the event. In 681 on this date the Bulgarian state was for the first time mentioned in a Eastern Roman Empire document, thus being recognized as a legal entity. Now, there is debate as to whether the Bulgarian nation was founded in 681 or 632, but let us stay out of this debate for now. The fact is that on this date in 681 the Bulgarian nation was recognized by its mighty neighbor to the South for the first time after having defeated it. And that is it.
Now, what is there for Bulgarians to celebrate today? Not much, as you would guess. Times are different, there is a financial crisis, there is a lot of work to be done, the situation seems to be hopeless. Where do we start? Or do we give up at all and leave Bulgaria? Before losing hope, however, I would like to remind all Bulgarians of our great history of successes. We have done it before and we can do it now. There is nothing to worry about. We just have to persevere, draft plans and carry them out with determination. And we will be rewarded as are all peoples and nations who follow the Laws of success.
