Hello dear friends!
Today is St. George's Day, and I would like to wish a happy holiday to all of you who bear this beautiful name, or a name similar to this one. Also, this is a holiday for all people involved in military work. Enjoy your holiday, friends!
And on a slightly different note, I would like to make a discussion regarding holidays in general. In my country and in other countries as well, perhaps, I am not sure, holidays are a time of smiles, good will, patriotism (in the case of national holidays) and getting together with family and friends to celebrate. In general, we are good to each other, happy, merry, and we celebrate to our heart's content on holidays. And here arises the just question: do we need holidays to be good to each other, happy, merry, and to celebrate? Can we have fun without holidays? Can we be good to each other without them? I think that we could and we should. Many of us wait for holidays to justify enjoying life and are good to each other only on holidays. On regular days we are worried, upset, and in general not caring to each other. Do we need to make every day a holiday to be good to each other? I believe not. I believe that we could behave as if every day were a holiday, though. Because every day is. Every day is the same as the one coming before and the one coming after that. So let us have fun on today's holiday and do so tomorrow as well!
