Hello friends!
What's going on in the beginning of March? Is the mood great? All is great here with me. I am not sure whether any of you are Christian. It is even less likely that you might be of the Orthodox Christian variety, to which tradition I belong. In our tradition there is a holiday called Easter, on which we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus. Before that, however, there are 7 long weeks of fasting. Fasting means not eating any animal food products - anything containing meat, milk, eggs. I myself never followed this strict fast in my life until last year when I decided to give it a try. And I did. It was not easy. But I did it. And it made me feel better. It gave me a better feeling. Both on a physical and mental level. I came out of the fast with a clearer vision and stronger. And so I decided to check it out this year as well. This time, however, I don't look at it as a test. I accept it as something great. Something I do for myself, not against myself. It isn't a torture, depriving me of delicious foods. It is a favor I am doing to myself, which will help me be able to do more with each day I have. More energy, more clarity, more focus, more stability - more of all the good things in life. Yes, it can be easy. And I am making it easy. Just following what I have to follow. Making it happen!
Great wishes to you too!
