Hello dear friends!
I am assuming that none of you are Bulgarians, so I would like to share with you that today, November 1st is a great holiday for all Bulgarians. It is the Day of the People's Awakeners, so to say. About two hundred years ago Bulgaria was under Ottoman domination, and the Bulgarian people seemed to be content with the situation. They had forgotten that they had had a kingdom of their own in the past and lived in apathy. But then came along a Mastermind of great Bulgarians, who started a National Revival, which lead to the liberation from the Ottoman Empire in 1878. So today's holiday commemorates the names of these great Bulgarians. I would like to celebrate today with a look in the past, but also to set my sight clearly on the future and promise myself and all Bulgarians that I will ensure that Bulgaria's past glories will be revived and their will be a contemporary National Revival.
