Well, we are here again!
And we are here to celebrate the birthday of James F. Cooper, who was a famous American author from the 19th century. I must admit that I have never read his works, but you can familiarize yourself with his life and works here.
And on to the quote by him:
All greatness of character is dependent on individuality. The man who has no other existence than that which he partakes in common with all around him, will never have any other than an existence of mediocrity.
This is a strong argument in support of individualism. While I myself wholeheartedly agree with this statement, I am sure that many people disagree with it, especially people supporting more collectivist philosophies, such as the Japanese.
But let's leave it all behind and be the best individuals we can be today, because this is all that matters!
